Mistake #1 in naming your business: Don’t have a "committee" make your decision. Get ideas and suggestions, BUT you make the final decision.
Mistake #2: Don’t use a “car crash” method of creating a name. What I mean by this is, don't take two words and just crunch them together because you think it's 'neat'.
Mistake #3: Don’t use words so PLAIN or BARREN that they don’t stand out in a crowd.
Mistake #4: Don’t use a map approach in naming your business. "Dodge City Rug Doctor", just doesn't cut it.
Mistake #5: Don’t let your name become a cliché.
Mistake #6: Don’t use an obscure name, customers won’t know what it means. You might, but they won't.
Mistake #7: Don’t use the alphabet soup method to select a name.
Mistake #8: Don’t be afraid to change the name if it proves wrong.

This business name tells you exactly what the business is and what it does.
